Mike Orn

I grew up in Stillwater, MN. My Dad was a high school teacher/ hockey coach & ran hockey clinics. My mom owned a Tea/Coffee business in the Old Stillwater Post Office. My future employment plan was play professional hockey. I played D1 College Hockey, drafted in the National Hockey League & played professional hockey in Germany. When my hockey career ended, I used my Business Finance degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio to lead me to State Farm Insurance. I reconnected with Lori, my high school sweetheart, who had zero plans to marry a hockey player and move to Germany. We married, moved to Ramsey & raised 4 wonderful children: Adam, Alex, Casey, Rachel. Being parents has been an incredible honor & privilege.

We opened our first State Farm Agency in Andover in 2005. We opened our 2nd State Farm Agency in Anoka in 2025. It has been an honor & blessing to be part of the community & build relationships with many customers & friends. I serve as Vice Chair of Northgate Church in Ramsey. Board member at Anoka ACBC Food Shelf, Adult & Teen Challenge Mentor, volunteer at the Minneapolis House of Charity Food Shelf. I also serve the hockey community as the USA Hockey Coach-in-Chief for Minnesota & have the opportunity to coach & lead several youth hockey teams & programs in Minnesota & Nationally. I am also blessed to work with Hockey Ministries International sharing Jesus with local Youth Hockey players, parents & coaches at weekly chapels.

We are blessed with an incredible team of 11 full time & 4 part time licensed team members in our office. They collectively have over 100+ years' experience in the insurance industry. Our office is the top Insurance Agency in Anoka County & we have qualified for multiple State Farm awards. Our office offers Home Insurance, Renters Insurance, Car insurance, Auto Insurance, Life Insurance, and Commercial Insurance in Andover, Anoka, Ramsey, Coon Rapids, Ham Lake, Oak Grove, East Bethel, Blaine & all of Anoka County.

(In January, 2023, we lost our beloved son Casey. We are sad & heartbroken & have many unanswered questions. We are so grateful for the 22 years we enjoyed with our beloved Casey. Casey was a believer in Jesus Christ & we know for certain he is in heaven & no longer in any pain. The love & prayers we have received from the community has been life changing & beyond our understanding. It can only be God's love working personally through people.
